Monday, Monday.......

"Monday, Monday........."  that's the song going through my head right now.  Do you often want to break out in song when people happen to say something just as it's sung in a song you know?  This happens to me ALL THE TIME.  Is that weird?  Okay, don't answer that.

Anyhoo, got on the scale this morning to find out I'd gained a whole pound :-(  Not too happy about that. I felt that I did pretty well during the week - like if it was a test I would have gotten a B+/A-, until the weekend came.  We went camping at Lake Lopez and in typical camping style we pigged out on all the worst foods - hot dogs, hamburgers, mac-n-cheese, etc.  My bag of carrots and celery and my tub of hummus sank to the bottom of the soggy cooler and looked most unappetizing.  The giant red bag of Doritos, however, were calling my name...."kathy...oh kathy!.....come here and eat me!"  That and the chilled white wine.  Mmmmmm. I wouldn't say that I ate and drank myself silly, because I didn't, but I did dip my hand into that big red bag more than a few times AND I drank an entire bottle of white wine (minus one glass) in two nights.

...hiccup...

So, a pound later, here I sit.  Sigh.  Time to start again.  I want an A+ this week.  My goal is to log EVERYTHING I put in my mouth this week and to NOT exceed my daily points AT ALL.  If I do that, will I lose a pound or two?  We'll see.

This is hard work! How'd you do? I sure hope you did better than me.  I need some healthy competition ladies.  Bring it on!

  1. don't pound yourself to hard into the ground for the 1 pound weight gain, it certainly could've been a lot worse! as we all know, camping usually tends to mean stuffing your face with all the wrong foods. why that is, I don't know. some things just taste better in the great outdoors and some don't, like your humus and veggies. yes, usually great tasting but I'm sorry, they just can' compare to doritos, yum, yum!
    You're back on the right track, you wrote it out and have a plan of attack for the new week~ you can do it!!!!
